Authorities said they are keeping the suspect, 25-year-old Erlin Obani Romero and charged him with kidnapping, auto theft, and robbery. Police arrested Romero on Tuesday at Crisp Road near Palou Avenue.

The victim, Jeffrey Wang, left his vehicle on February 6 to deliver for DoorDash, leaving his two children inside. Authorities said Wang left the engine running when he went outside.

After Wang’s story went viral, a manhunt was conducted to locate the car and the missing children. Officials found the kids the next day inside the stolen vehicle in the Bayview District. Police said they were still looking for a potential second suspect, KRON4 reported.
