Suspect in Levi’s Stadium stabbing arrested

A suspect connected to the stabbing in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday has been arrested.

According to Santa Clara Police Department, Alejandro Garcia-Villanueva, 29, was arrested at his residence on July 4. 

On Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., Garcia-Villanueva was contacted at his residence on the 3300 block of 22nd Avenue in Sacramento by the Sacramento Police Department. He surrendered and was arrested without incident. 

He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

Investigation reveals that the person of interest did not commit any criminal offenses and was released at the scene.
