The truck driver who went over a cliff and landed in the Pacific Ocean near Santa Cruz was suspected of being drunk.
According to the California Highway Patrol Santa Cruz, they were called to the scene where a vehicle had veered off the roadway and over a cliff near East Cliff Drive.
CHP said a 50-year-old San Jose man was inside the vehicle and had suffered major injuries. The man was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
