Sutro Tower to illuminate San Francisco with ‘sea of lights’

1 min read

The Sutro Tower, San Francisco’s television and radio tower, will light up the city on the Fourth of July.

Twelve multi-colored lasers are stationed at the base of Sutro Tower and will create a “sea of lights” from the Twin Peaks.

The laser exhibit was designed to celebrate San Francisco and mark the Sutro Tower’s 50th anniversary.

The tower broadcast its first transmission on July 4, 1973.

Lights will illuminate San Francisco between July 4 to 8, from sunset to midnight.
