A 16-year-old suspect was arrested after allegedly stabbing his 16-year-old friend during an argument Tuesday.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, officers responded to reports of a stabbing near West Ninth Street and Warren Lane around 12:25 p.m.
At the scene, police found the 16-year-old victim with one non-life-threatening stab wound.
Police arrested the 16-year-old suspect and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers said the two were friends and got into a heated argument at the suspect’s house. The suspect then chased the victim and stabbed him in the back with a four-inch folding knife.
The victim was transported to the hospital. The suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall.
