Tesla in flames after single-vehicle collision in Santa Clara

1 min read

A Tesla is engulfed in flames after a single-vehicle collision in Santa Clara Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of San Tomas Expressway and local police and fire departments are on the scene.

A witness said the vehicle’s speed may have been a factor.

The witness said the driver lost control of the vehicle before swerving left to the intersection. The driver then shifted back to the right to avoid driving off the road, hitting the curb, and crashing.

The City of Santa Clara said at least one had a major injury, but no further details were released.
