1 min read

Golfing superstar Tiger Woods on Tuesday morning suffered severe injuries in a rollover car crash in Southern California, police reports show.

The incident took place on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said. Woods was the only occupant of the vehicle when his car crashed at 7:12 am.

Emergency responders reportedly had to extricate Woods through a windshield. The golfing star was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery for multiple leg injuries.

“We are awaiting further information when he comes out of surgery. On behalf of the PGA Tour and our players, Tiger is in our prayers and will have our full support as he recovers,” the PGA Tour said in a statement
