Two 19-year-old detained after firing shots at Pleasant Hill park

Two men were detained in linked to an assault with a deadly weapon earlier this month. According to the Pleasant Hill Police Department, they are investigating an incident on September 9, around 10:55 p.m., in Pleasant Oaks Park, where two suspects fired shots. 

Multiple shell casings were recovered, and bullets struck buildings and cars. Police say two semi-automatic handguns were used, and two juvenile victims at the scene were not injured.

The suspects were identified as Saul Jimenez and Alexander Martinez-Narcurena. Both are 19 years old. 

On September 11, Jimenez was taken into custody after authorities served a search warrant at his Antioch home. The firearm and vehicle used in the crime were found in his house. He was charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon. 

According to police, Jimenez is currently held at Martinez Detention Facility, and his bail is $680,000. 

Martinez-Narcurena was taken into custody on Wednesday. Authorities served a search warrant at his Pittsburg residence. Evidence, including a high-capacity handgun magazine and ammunition, was found in his house. 

Police said Martinez-Narcurena was also booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. The District Attorney’s office is expected to formally file charges at a later time.
