Two dead, one child injured in Oakland shooting

A shooting in Oakland left two people dead and one child injured. 

According to the Oakland Police Department, the shooting happened after 11 p.m. in the 9500 block of Birch Street on Saturday. 

At the scene, officers found three victims with gunshot wounds, including a child. 

The young victim was taken to a children’s hospital for treatment while the two other victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Police have arrested one suspect, and OPD’s Homicide Division is investigating.
