Two rain systems expected in Bay Area this week

1 min read

Two rounds of rain are expected in the Bay Area the week of Christmas.

According to the National Weather Service, the first round is predicted for Wednesday through Thursday. It is predicted to be less than one inch in the Bay but forecasted to be 0.5 to 2 inches in the North Bay.

The second round is predicted from late Thursday through Saturday. NWS said this round of rain could range from one to three inches in the coastal rangers and 0.2 to 1 inch in the interior.

This combination could lead to some trees coming down. The NWS recommends taking advantage of the settled weather conditions to make preparations and “take down the blow-up Santa.”
