Two people were shot Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in Castro Valley.

According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at 9:18 a.m. on the 2400 block of Center Street.

Officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. They were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Currently, deputies have no clear motive for the shooting, but it is believed that the suspect and victims had an encounter in the carport area of the apartment building.
