Victims in South Bay crime spree identified

The three people killed in a crime spree across South Bay on Thursday have been identified. 

The victims were Jiwanjot Dhariwal, 26, of Milpitas, Phuc Pham, 71, of San Jose, and Hanh Pham Nguyen, 73, also of San Jose.

The killing spree started after 3 p.m. on Thursday when the suspect allegedly carjacked and stabbed three separate victims. 

All were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

According to police, Dhariwal was stabbed to death in the Smart & Final parking lot an hour and a half after the suspect’s violence began. 

The suspect in the crimes is Kevin Parkourana, 31, of San Jose. Parkourana was on parole when the rampage began. He is facing multiple charges including homicide, attempted homicide, and carjacking.
