Woman arrested for bringing drugs into Redwood City Jail

1 min read

On Tuesday, Dafne Araceli Largaespada, 41, was arrested after allegedly bringing drugs into Maple Street Correctional Facility.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, it is unclear how Largaespada managed to sneak the drugs into the facility. A corrections officer spotted her in the act.

SMCSO said that Largaespada served as a baking instructor at the jail. She taught classes for non-violent incarcerated individuals to “enhance their culinary skills to be employable upon leaving our care.”

No other information on the case was immediately available.
