On Tuesday, search efforts stepped up to locate a Bay Area woman who was last spotted in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood on Saturday, SFGATE reported.

28-year-old Nikita New of San Mateo was last seen outside of Potrero Stage just off 18th Street and Arkansas Street with her friend at 2:00 in the afternoon.

According to a report by the NBC Bay Area, the group was planning to attend a theater musical show “Living Large,” an original production, the Potrero Stage website said. The missing woman, however, was not permitted inside as she misplaced her phone and wallet containing her vaccination card required for entry.

One of her friends told the news outlet that New intends to “meet them back at the theater when the performance is over.” She, however, did not make it to the Potrero Stage at the meeting time she set with friends.

Nikita New was last seen in Potrero Hill on Saturday.

A Facebook group has been created to intensify the efforts for New to safely return. A post in the said group said that New was wearing a black jacket, white shorts, and had a “brightly colored” backpack when she disappeared.

New’s height is about 5 foot 1 inch and she has brown hair and hazel eyes, the San Francisco police said. She can also be identified through a tattoo on her leg.

The San Francisco police hotline at (415) 575-4444 will welcome any information related to the missing woman.
