1 dead, 1 injured in Oakland City Hall shooting

The shooting outside Oakland City Hall Tuesday afternoon killed one and injured another, according to a tweet from Oakland PD. 

The shooting took place while a city council meeting was ongoing inside the building. 

Gunshots were heard at around 2:15 p.m. The city official confirmed that two people were shot at Frank Ogawa Plaza. 

OPD said that the shooters fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.

According to OPD, the victims are from Oakland and Berkeley. 

The incident marked the 4th homicide in Oakland in less than 24 hours.
