One dead, and three others were injured in a fight that led to a gun battle at a Brentwood gym. The incident occurred early Thursday morning and started around the basketball courts and into the parking lot.
According to police, the shooting happened at around 1:55 a.m. outside 24 Hour Fitness located at 5961 Lone Tree Way.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the fight began inside the gym, spilled out into the parking lot, and involved multiple people. Surveillance footage from the gym showed at least 2 people had pulled out guns and fired multiple shots.
A man in his 20s was found lying on a sidewalk in front of the gym and had at least one gunshot wound. First responders performed medical aid, but he died at the scene.
Three others were injured and were taken to local hospitals.
Two suspects have been detained, but no arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting is still unknown, police said.
