A deadly shooting occurred outside a nightclub in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, leaving five injured and one dead.

According to the San Francisco Police, the shooting happened before 11 p.m. Sunday. The condition of the four injured victims is unknown.

SFPD says officers were dispatched to the area on a shooting report. At the scene, police found a victim lying outside a liquor store on the corner of Columbus and Grant Avenues with a gun just a few feet away.

The victim was a 23-year-old male from Sola County and was declared dead on the spot.

Additionally, four other victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They were described as two 24-year-old males from Sacramento County, a 22-year-old male from Alameda County, and a 20-year-old female from Contra Costa County.

A witness said he was in his room when he heard almost a dozen gunshots go off.

“Looked out the window, there was a guy being dragged across the street to a car,” the witness said. “The car drove off, the guy got dragged back over to the convenient store, and so he’s dead. And then a girl ran down here, she got shot as well.”

San Francisco police believe the shooting was isolated and not random.

The SFPD Homicide Detail is investigating the incident.

No arrests have been made.
