San Francisco police asked the public for help on Wednesday in identifying and locating a suspect who is believed to have stabbed a man in the face in an unprovoked attack in the city’s UN Plaza area last month.
Unprovoked Stabbing
Authorities identified the victim as a 31-year-old man who was near Seventh and Market streets on February 3. The suspect allegedly stabbed him in the face before fleeing off east on Market Street.
Police said the victim had a laceration to his face due to the attack but said it was not a life-threatening injury. They were not able to arrest the suspect and are now seeking help from the public for any information that could lead to his arrest, CBS Local reported.
Authorities released images that could help in locating the suspect. Police described the man as being between 30 and 40 years old, about 5-foot-6 tall with a medium build. The individual was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black hat and equipped with a folding knife.
