Millennium Tower’s Repairs Halted Due to Sinking

1 min read

Construction for Millenium Tower’s repair is halted after San Francisco officials ordered the tower’s management to halt repairs until the city reviews an updated construction approach.

Work was paused last month after the skyscraper sank another inch.

The city’s review request comes after a report found that the sinking might be caused by the construction.

The construction will be put on hold until modification options are finalized, a spokesperson’s of the tower’s management team confirmed.

As of February 202, it was reported that the building had sunk a total of 17 inches since its opening in 2009.

Last month, building representatives announced that while there has been sinking and tilting, there is no material harm to the building and it is still fully safe.
