San Francisco authorities said they identified the victim of a fatal crash on Tuesday evening to be a 29-year-old woman, while another man was injured and quickly transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

Fatal Hit-And-Run

The city’s medical examiner officials said they were not at liberty to announce details of the death of the victim, Lovisa Svallingson. They could not confirm whether she was a driver, passenger, or pedestrian at the time of her death. However, San Francisco Supervisor Matt Haney said she was a pedestrian in the crash.

While no information was released regarding Svallingson’s home residence, her social media pages showed she was from Oakland and was working in tech. Haney said Svallingson and the male victim, who were both believed to be pedestrians, were the victims of a hit-and-run at Polk and Hayes streets.

Authorities immediately transported the man to San Francisco General Hospital on Tuesday. Haney said he was in “serious condition” when medical professionals checked up on him. “Our thoughts and love are with her family,” Haney said, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
