Man allegedly posed as 16-year-old arrested for sexual contact with minor

A 20-year-old man accused of posing as a 16-year-old to meet and have an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor has been arrested. 

According to San Jose Police Department, officers were dispatched to a San Jose residence after a report of an inappropriate sexual relationship between a minor girl and an adult male was made. 

A news release from the department said that the investigation reveals that the suspect contacted the victim on social media and posed as a 16-year-old boy. The suspect arranged to meet and had sexual contact with the victim. 

The suspect was identified as Jonathan Saucedo. Saucedo had applied to work at several law enforcement agencies and worked as a security guard.

Detectives with the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force/Child Exploit Detail located and arrested Saucedo at his workplace in Santa Cruz.

Saucedo was booked into a Santa Clara County jail.
