Man arrested for San Jose fatal stabbing

A man was arrested on Sunday in connection to the fatal stabbing in San Jose. According to the San Jose Police Department, Nhan Vinh Chi, 44, was taken into custody in Sunnyvale. 

On Saturday, 2:00 a.m., SJPD officers responded to McKee Road near Checkers Drive due to reports of a stabbing. On the scene, they found an adult male with a stab wound. 

The victim was declared dead at the scene. 

An investigation identified Chi as the suspect in the murder. He was arrested in Sunnyvale and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. 

SJPD said the motive and circumstances of the stabbing remain under investigation. Police withheld the identity of the victim.
