San Mateo police find drugs and guns during traffic stop

San Mateo police arrested two people on charges of drug and child endearment after a traffic stop late Sunday night. 

According to police, an officer pulled over a vehicle in Casa de Campo and La Selva Street around 11:45 p.m. for a vehicle code violation. They were four adults and a 5-year-old inside. 

A record check reveal that the driver and the front passenger were both on bail for pending criminal charges. A probation search was made. 

During the search, officers found a loaded and unregistered Glock 23 firearm with a high-capacity magazine, cash, and large amounts of marijuana. 

The police found more than $2,000 in cash, 113.2 grams of marijuana, 2.37 grams of cocaine, and 99.05 grams of methamphetamine. 

The police released the 5-year-old to her grandparents and the four adults were interviewed. 

The rear passengers were not connected and were released. 

The driver, Fane Havea, 23, and her passenger James Williams, 20, were booked in San Mateo County Jail. They are facing multiple drug and weapon charges, along with child abuse and conspiracy.
