A student from a Fairfield high school was arrested after bringing a loaded gun to campus.

According to Fairfield Police Department, around 2:52 p.m. on Tuesday, Armijo High School’s School Resource Officer was informed of an issue between two students. The police say that one student threatened to physically harm the other.

A school administrator escorted the student making threatening remarks to the office and searched his backpack due to reports that he had a weapon.

Inside the bag, a loaded Polymer 80 Glock-style pistol with an extended magazine attached is found.

The student was taken into police custody and transported to the Solano County Juvenile Hall Detention Facility. He is facing several weapons charges.
