Woman arrested for attempted murder in Santa Rosa

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 23-year-old woman. 

According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Tanglewood Court due to a stabbing report on December 9 at around 6:14 a.m. 

At the scene, police found a 23-year-old woman on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple stab wounds. 

Santa Rosa Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel were also at the scene to perform medical aid. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She sustained significant life-threatening injuries but is expected to survive. 

Police investigation reveals the suspect drove the victim to the location where they had a physical altercation and the suspect stabbed the victim. 

The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. 

The suspect was identified as Ruby O’Brien, 21, of Rohnert Park. 

O’Brien was arrested after a traffic enforcement stop in the 300 block of Enterprise Drive in Rohnert Park. 

O’Brien was later booked into Sonoma County Jail for attempted murder.
